The DLA Volunteer Support Service If you would like to have general guidance in filling in the DLA or AA
forms, challenging a decision or preparing for an appeal tribunal, a
specially selected and trained volunteer will talk through any practical
questions but will not be able to give specific advice on an
individual’s circumstances.
When you have obtained the claims form from the Benefits Enquiry Line
0800 88 22 00 and the guide from NACC, give the information line a ring
on 0845 130 2233 to make an appointment for one of our volunteers to
ring you. If your application has been turned down our volunteers can
also help you in your decision to appeal and what the process involves.
Other Sources of Help If you feel you
would like to talk to someone face to face there are many organisations
that can help:
Your first step could be a visit to a Citizens Advice Bureau.

will give you details of your local one. You could also try the Disability Information Advice Line (DIAL).
The
website will give you a directory of local offices. If you would like to talk to someone over the phone, call the Community
Legal Service Helpline on 0845 345 4 345 and go straight for the option
to speak to an adviser. An easy website to navigate and understand is
