Giant inflatables, foam, a
dromedary sumo horse and fancy dress were the
order of the day when 13 teams from the business
community took part in our second It’s a
Knockout Charity Challenge at the wonderful Old
Albanian Sports Club in St Albans. We had
fairies; assassins; mad scientists; tartan
terrors; cowboys (and one Indian); Hawaiian
hurricanes; chamber pots and superheroes in
training, not to mention our own CEO Richard
Driscoll in a fetching multi-coloured clown’s
wig.
The competition was intense,
but victory finally went to Shire’s fuchsia
fairies!
A good day was had by all,
though, and the adults weren’t the only ones
having fun as there were children’s games too.
As well, there were bouncy castles, face
painting,
mechanical rodeo bull, raffle, tombola and other
side stalls to keep the spectators entertained,
not to mention a barbeque and bar.

Indications are that a fabulous
£10,000 was raised after expenses, and
this will help us to make a big difference to
the lives of people who are affected by Crohn’s
and Colitis.
Huge thanks to everyone who
took part in the games, sponsored the teams,
cheered them on, volunteered or provided
services.
You’re all superstars!
Knockout is great for
team-building, raising staff morale and getting
businesses known in the community.
